Regina Reggae Festival

About the Festival

The Regina Reggae Festival launched in 2025 as the first event of its kind in Regina, introducing Caribbean sound system culture into the downtown core at Victoria Park. Now returning for its second year, RRF26 expands to a two-day format, transforming from a founding experiment into a stabilized annual institution. This is the year that converts event into tradition.

With the Regina Folk Festival having shut down in 2025, RRF fills a critical cultural vacuum in downtown Regina, establishing a new anchor in the city's annual festival calendar.

RRF25, The Founding Edition

On August 31, 2025, the first-ever Regina Reggae Festival brought reggae, ska, and roots music to Victoria Park. What started as a bold experiment became the proof-of-concept that launched an institution. Hundreds of people gathered in downtown Regina's historic park for an afternoon and evening of live music, food, and Caribbean culture under the Saskatchewan sky.

  • First reggae festival in Regina's history
  • Headlined by Jah Cutta and The Door Crashers
  • Featured Dr. Bird & Blue Beat
  • Victoria Park, downtown Regina
  • Hundreds attended the inaugural edition
  • Established the annual calendar anchor

RRF26 — August 14–15, 2026

The festival returns to Victoria Park for two days of reggae, ska & roots music, Friday and Saturday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM both days. Friday is International Check-In: no schedule, no rush — sound system culture, community gathering, and the warmth of reconnection on the grass. Saturday is the headline day, featuring Exco Levi, Alpha Yaya Diallo, and Jah Cutta.

Venue

Victoria Park sits at the heart of downtown Regina, surrounded by the iconic Hill Towers skyline. As Regina's historic primary festival ground, the park provides the perfect setting for two days of reggae music under the Saskatchewan sky.
